24.2 Megapixel Sensor

DIGIC 6 Image Processor
After the light falls on the sensor of the M3 Canon, the image has to be processed and Canon uses the Digic 6 Image Processor. The DIGIC 6 enables the M3 camera to produce improved low-light performance with less noise. In addition, it enables improved autofocus (AF) times and reduced lag over previous models.
The EOS M3’s Hybrid CMOS AF III system is fast, resulting in accurate AF coverage over approximately 80% (vertical) and 70% (horizontal) of the entire image.
The M3 Canon has an ISO range of 100–12800 (expandable to 25600). This means means images can be captured in a wide range of lighting situations. From bright lights (ISO 100) to extremely dim light.
Continuous Shooting and Burst Rate
The Canon M3 is capable of shooting up to 4.2 frames per second for up to 1,000 JPEG images or 5 RAW images.
Hot Shoe and Built-In Flash
The built-in pop-up flash has a guide number of 16.4′ (5m) at ISO 100 and covers up to an 18mm focal length. The flash recycles in of 3 seconds and can sync up to 1/200 sec. An E-TTL II-compatible hot shoe is built-in, enabling you to add-on an external flash or trigger.
